پاکستان فٹبال کی نئی سمت: تسلسل، وژن اور مضبوط شراکت داری کا آغاز

پاکستان فٹبال ایک طویل بحران، معطلیوں اور انتظامی بے یقینی کے بعد بالآخر ایک منظم اور مربوط سمت میں آگے بڑھتا دکھائی دے رہا ہے۔ حالیہ نیشنل چیلنج کپ کا کامیاب انعقاد اور اس کا شاندار اختتام اس بات کا واضح ثبوت ہے کہ Pakistan Football Federation نے ملکی سطح پر فٹبال سرگرمیوں کی بحالی کا عمل سنجیدگی سے شروع کر دیا ہے۔ واپڈا کی مسلسل تیسری کامیابی نے جہاں مقابلہ جاتی معیار کو اجاگر کیا، وہیں یہ ٹورنامنٹ اس بات کی علامت بھی بنا کہ فیڈریشن عملی اقدامات کے ذریعے فٹبال کو دوبارہ منظم دھارے میں لا رہی ہے۔

گراس روٹ ڈیولپمنٹ، انٹر اسکول چیمپئن شپ، منی پچز کی تنصیب، اور ملک گیر ٹیلنٹ ہنٹ پروگرام دراصل ایک ایسے جامع پلان کا حصہ ہیں جس کا خواب پاکستان کی فٹبال کمیونٹی برسوں سے دیکھ رہی تھی۔ اگر یہ تسلسل برقرار رہا اور شفافیت، میرٹ اور پروفیشنل مینجمنٹ کو ترجیح دی جاتی رہی تو بعید نہیں کہ پاکستان فٹبال ایک نئے دور میں داخل ہو جائے۔

یہ کہنا بجا ہوگا کہ موجودہ قیادت میں فیڈریشن نے ایونٹ مینجمنٹ، بین الاقوامی روابط، اور نجی شراکت داری کے ذریعے فٹبال کی بحالی کا عملی خاکہ پیش کر دیا ہے۔ اب ضرورت اس امر کی ہے کہ اس رفتار اور وژن کو برقرار رکھا جائے تاکہ پاکستان میں فٹبال واقعی ایک مضبوط، خودمختار اور روشن مستقبل کی طرف گامزن ہو سکے۔

A New Direction for Pakistan Football: Continuity, Vision, and Strategic Partnerships

After years of crisis, suspensions, and administrative uncertainty, Pakistan football finally appears to be moving in a structured and progressive direction. The successful organization and conclusion of the National Challenge Cup clearly demonstrate that the Pakistan Football Federation has seriously initiated the revival of domestic football activities. WAPDA’s third consecutive title not only highlighted the competitive standard of the tournament but also symbolized the Federation’s commitment to restoring organized football in the country.

Under the leadership of Syed Mohsen Gilani, the Federation has focused not only on reviving domestic competitions but also on ensuring international exposure for national teams. The participation of the men’s team in AFC Futsal qualifiers, the women’s national team’s inclusion in the FIFA Series, and the Under-16 squad’s involvement in the UEFA Development Tournament reflect a broader vision aimed at providing Pakistani players with valuable international experience. These initiatives are not symbolic gestures; they form part of a structural reform agenda that includes restoring a league system, reviving departmental teams, and moving toward financial sustainability.

The involvement of the private sector marks a particularly significant and positive development. The strategic partnership with Lahore Qalandars signals a shift toward corporate support and professional sporting models in football. CEO Atif Rana’s commitment to replicating the successful grassroots talent-hunt structure established in cricket for football carries strong potential for tangible results. Similarly, collaboration with educational institutions such as FPS School System and the inclusion of social and educational stakeholders like Kamal Minhas of Foundation Public School demonstrate that grassroots development and school-level coaching are being prioritized to build a solid foundation for the sport.

Grassroots development programs, inter-school championships, installation of mini-pitches, and nationwide talent hunts collectively form part of a comprehensive strategic plan—one that the football community in Pakistan has long envisioned. If this momentum continues with transparency, meritocracy, and professional governance, Pakistan football may well be entering a transformative era.

It is fair to state that under the current leadership, the Federation has presented a practical blueprint for football revival through event management, international engagement, and private-sector partnerships. The need of the hour is to sustain this pace and strategic clarity so that football in Pakistan can move toward a stable, self-sustaining, and promising future.
