Once again, Pakistan’s sporting history has fallen victim to corruption, internal conflict, and institutional betrayal. This time, the casualties are two promising young weightlifters — Furqan Ahmed and Haider Shakeel — who were denied accreditation to compete in the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.

On the surface, the excuse seems administrative: the athletes’ “whereabouts information” was allegedly not submitted before the deadline. However, the truth appears to be far deeper and more troubling.

According to my credible sources, this was not a clerical error but a deliberate act of exclusion. Reportedly, certain elements from the suspended Pakistan Weightlifting Federation, with personal ties to the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), influenced the Pakistan Sports Board’s Interim Committee to drop these medal-contending athletes.

It is worth recalling that the High Court had ordered the formation of an interim committee after serious allegations of corruption, doping scandals, and mismanagement surfaced within the federation. Unfortunately, the Pakistan Olympic Association, instead of supporting transparency, continued backing the suspended federation, perpetuating a system that protects corruption rather than punishes it.

Sources reveal that the suspended federation wanted to send athletes with inferior performance records, sidelining those who truly deserved to represent Pakistan.

It is an undeniable fact that Furqan Ahmed had recently shown exceptional form. He is comparatively reported by his coach he is lifting two to three kilograms more than the current Asian youth gold medalist in 81-kg class, suggesting a strong possibility that he could have won gold for Pakistan — possibly even two gold medals in the Clean and Jerk event.

This is not the first time Pakistan’s sporting authorities have sacrificed genuine talent. In the past, Olympic medal hope Nooh Dastgir Butt and judoka Shah Hussain were also sidelined in similar circumstances — costing Pakistan potential international recognition and medals.

To deprive athletes of opportunity for political, personal, or factional reasons is not only unethical — it is a national disgrace. Coaches and sports experts have now appealed to the Pakistan Olympic Association, Pakistan Sports Board, Ministry of Sports, and higher authorities to order an immediate and transparent investigation into this scandal and hold the responsible individuals accountable.

If these internal conflicts and parallel federations continue unchecked, Pakistan’s image in global sports — including the upcoming Islamic Solidarity Games 2025 — will suffer irreparable damage.

So far, the Pakistan Olympic Association has not clarified whether the appeal for these athletes was ever forwarded to the Asian Youth Games organizers. If these athletes were intentionally obstructed, it would mark one of the most disgraceful acts in Pakistan’s sporting history.

The future of Pakistan’s sports depends not only on what happens in the arenas but on honest decisions and transparent governance. It is time to end the politics that destroy young athletes’ dreams and hard work for the sake of personal interests and positions.

پاکستانی کھیلوں کی تاریخ ایک بار پھر بدنیتی، کرپشن اور ادارہ جاتی تضادات کی بھینٹ چڑھ گئی ہے۔ اس بار شکار بنے ہیں پاکستان کے دو ابھرتے ہوئے نوجوان ویٹ لفٹرز فرقان احمد اور حیدر شکیل، جنہیں تیسرے ایشین یوتھ گیمز (بحرین) میں شرکت کے لیے اکریڈیشن سے محروم کر دیا گیا۔

بظاہر تو وجہ یہ بتائی گئی کہ ان کھلاڑیوں کی "لوکیشن معلومات" (whereabouts) بروقت جمع نہیں کرائی گئیں، لیکن حقیقت کہیں زیادہ گہری اور تلخ ہے۔

میرے ذرائع کے مطابق، یہ معاملہ غلطی کا نہیں بلکہ مبینہ طور پر دانستہ زیادتی کا ہے۔ ممکنہ طور پرمعطل شدہ پاکستان ویٹ لفٹنگ فیڈریشن کے بعض عناصر، جن کے پاکستان اولمپک ایسوسی ایشن سے ذاتی تعلقات ہیں نے پاکستان اسپورٹس بورڈ کی انٹیرم کمیٹی کی سلیکشن پر اثر انداز ہو کر ان باصلاحیت کھلاڑیوں کو باہر رکھنے کا کردار ادا کیا۔

یاد رہے کہ کرپشن، ڈوپنگ اسکینڈلز اور مس مینجمنٹ کی سنگین شکایات کے بعد ہائی کورٹ کے حکم پر اسپورٹس بورڈ نے انٹیرم کمیٹی تشکیل دی تھی۔ مگر افسوس کہ اولمپک ایسوسی ایشن نے ایک بار پھر کرپشن اور ڈوپنگ سکینڈل کی وجہ سے معطل شدہ فیڈریشن کی حمایت جاری رکھی، گویا بدعنوانی کے نظام کو تحفظ دینے کی روایت برقرار رہی۔

ذرائع کے مطابق، معطل فیڈریشن ایسے کھلاڑیوں کو بھیجنا چاہتی تھی جن کی کارکردگی فرقان احمد اور حیدر شکیل کے مقابلے میں کہیں کم تھی۔

یہ ایک ناقابلِ تردید حقیقت ہے کہ فرقان احمد حال ہی میں ایشیئن یوتھ چیمپیئن شپ میں 81 کلوگرام کیٹیگری میں شاندار کارکردگی دکھانے والے کھلاڑی سے بہتر ھے، اور وہ اس کھلاڑی سے دو سے تین کلوگرام زیادہ لفٹ کرتا ھے جس کی وجہ سے توقع کی جا سکتی ھے کہ وہ گولڈ میڈل حاصل کر سکتا ھے۔ ماہرین کا کہنا ہے کہ فرقان کے پاس کلین اینڈ جرک میں پاکستان کے لیے دو گولڈ میڈل جیتنے کا واضح موقع تھا۔

اس سے پہلے پاکستان اولمپک نوح دستگیر بٹ اور جوڈو کے کھلاڑی شاہ حسین کو بھی اسی طرح قربان کر چکی ھے جس سے پاکستان ماضی میں کئی اعزازات جیت سکتا تھا۔

ایسے کھلاڑیوں کو محض سیاسی یا ذاتی مفاد کی خاطر روکنا نہ صرف کھیلوں کی روح کے خلاف ہے بلکہ قومی جرم کے مترادف ہے۔

کوچز اور ماہرین نے اب اولمپک ایسوسی ایشن، پاکستان اسپورٹس بورڈ، وزارتِ کھیل، اور حکومتی طاقتور حلقوں سے اپیل کی ہے کہ اس معاملے کی فوری شفاف تحقیقات کی جائیں اور ایسے نااہل اور بدنیت افراد کو انصاف کے کٹہرے میں لایا جائے۔

اگر متوازی تنظیموں اور ذاتی مفادات کے ان تنازعات کو حل نہ کیا گیا تو یہ بحران آئندہ اسلامک سولیڈیرٹی گیمز 2025 سمیت بین الاقوامی ایونٹس میں پاکستان کے وقار کو شدید نقصان پہنچائے گا۔

ابھی تک پاکستان اولمپک ایسوسی ایشن نے یہ واضح نہیں کیا کہ ایشین یوتھ گیمز کے سلسلے میں ان کھلاڑیوں کی اپیل کو آگے بڑھایا گیا یا نہیں۔ اگر جان بوجھ کر ان کھلاڑیوں کو روکا گیا تو یہ پاکستان کے کھیلوں کی تاریخ کا انتہائی شرمناک اور گھٹیا اقدام تصور کیا جائے گا۔

پاکستان کے کھیلوں کا مستقبل صرف میدانوں میں نہیں بلکہ ایماندار فیصلوں اور ادارہ جاتی شفافیت پر منحصر ہے۔

یہ وقت ہے کہ ہم ایسے رویوں کو ہمیشہ کے لیے دفن کریں جو نوجوانوں کی محنت اور خوابوں کو ذاتی دشمنی اور عہدوں کی سیاست میں قربان کرتے ہیں۔

In every democratic society, the right to freedom of expression and peaceful protest is considered a cornerstone of citizenship. It is the foundation upon which democracy stands. Yet, in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, this right continues to be violated with alarming regularity. The recent crackdown on Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) workers once again exposed how state power is misused against unarmed citizens — the same tragic pattern seen earlier in the Model Town massacre (2014) and the November 26, 2022 police violence against the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

A Repetition of Injustice

In Model Town, at least 14 innocent people — including women and elderly citizens — were shot dead in broad daylight. To this day, justice remains elusive. Then, on November 26, PTI supporters faced brutal police action, tear gas, and arbitrary arrests during a constitutionally protected protest. Now, history repeats itself as TLP workers are met with live bullets and state aggression.

The question is not about political ideology anymore — it is about human rights and the sanctity of life. Why does every government in Pakistan resort to bullets instead of dialogue? Why are peaceful voices silenced instead of being heard?

Had the perpetrators of Model Town been punished, the tragedies of November 26 and the recent TLP incident would never have happened. But the powerful remain untouchable, while the powerless continue to bleed.

Imran Khan’s Principle of Solidarity

In a commendable gesture, PTI Chairman Imran Khan expressed solidarity with the TLP workers despite political differences, saying:

> “Our political differences remain, but oppression against anyone is oppression against us all. Every Pakistani must stand against injustice.”

This statement reflects the essence of moral leadership — when a leader stands with the oppressed, not because of political gain, but because of principle. Such gestures remind us that compassion and justice are above politics.

Islam’s Command Against Oppression

The Holy Qur’an commands:

> “And do not incline toward those who do wrong, lest you be touched by the Fire.”

(Surah Hud, Ayah 113)

And the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

> “Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or oppressed.”

When asked how to help an oppressor, he replied:

“By preventing him from oppression.” (Musnad Ahmad)

Islam leaves no ambiguity — oppression is forbidden, and standing silent before injustice is complicity.

The Government’s Moral and Constitutional Duty

In an Islamic democracy, the government bears a sacred responsibility to protect its citizens’ lives, honor, and freedom of expression. When the state itself becomes the aggressor, the very foundations of justice crumble.

The government must now take urgent corrective measures:

1. Judicial Commissions: Establish independent judicial inquiries into the Model Town, November 26, and TLP incidents. Hold all those — regardless of rank — accountable for the blood of citizens.

2. Accountability of Force: Bring to justice any officials who ordered or executed the use of lethal force against peaceful protestors.

3. Reform of Protest Laws: Redefine protocols for peaceful assemblies to ensure protection rather than suppression of citizens’ rights.

4. Political Dialogue: Encourage open, respectful dialogue among religious, political, and civil leaders to resolve disputes without violence.

Conclusion

A nation cannot be governed by fear, bullets, and tear gas — it can only survive through justice, compassion, and dialogue.

When a state turns its weapons inward, it erodes the very soul of its people.

The government must prove that it believes in both the Constitution of Pakistan and the teachings of Islam, by ensuring that every official responsible for these tragedies faces justice.

If it fails to do so, history will ask them — just as it asks the perpetrators of Model Town:

> “Why did you fire on your own people?”

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) stands today at the crossroads of politics, diplomacy, and global health. And at the centre of this complex terrain is its new president, Kirsty Coventry — a former Olympic champion now navigating the far tougher arena of international expectations.

Coventry’s recent presence at the United Nations General Assembly in New York reflected a deliberate shift in Olympic leadership. Her emphasis that “sport is one of the most effective, low-cost and high-impact tools to prevent disease and foster mental well-being” was more than a slogan; it was a reminder that sport has evolved into a global health and social responsibility. In a world grappling with rising mental health issues and societal polarization, this message could not be more timely.

But leadership at this level rarely comes without turbulence. The lingering debate over Russia’s participation in international competitions continues to test the IOC’s neutrality. Coventry’s clear stance — reaffirming that the same rules applied to Paris 2024 will hold for Milano Cortina 2026 — signals not only consistency but courage. It also reinforces her commitment to keeping the Olympic movement above geopolitical disputes.

Her recent visit to Milan, however, briefly stirred diplomatic tension. Reports surfaced that no Italian government officials were present to receive the IOC delegation during her inspection of the Olympic Village, prompting speculation of strained relations. Yet, Coventry’s calm silence and refusal to react impulsively allowed the situation to settle naturally.

That restraint paid off. Days later, her meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of the UN Assembly visibly restored confidence and cooperation. Their interaction — two women leaders sharing mutual respect — was symbolic of how diplomacy in sport now demands emotional intelligence as much as administrative skill.

Coventry’s approach embodies what I call the new language of Olympic diplomacy — less ceremonial and more constructive, grounded in empathy, communication, and continuity. She seems to understand that the IOC’s true influence lies not in declarations but in fostering meaningful partnerships that transcend politics.

Having personally worked across sports development, fitness programs, and international event management, I view Coventry’s style as a refreshing change from the bureaucratic rigidity that has often slowed global sport. Her insistence that sport contributes to public health, peace, and inclusion realigns the Olympic movement with its founding ideals.

The challenge ahead, however, is monumental. With Milano Cortina 2026 only months away, Coventry must balance the logistical demands of a mega-event with the moral duty of keeping sport fair, neutral, and globally accessible. The world will be watching how she handles these dual responsibilities — as an administrator and as a diplomat of sport.

If she succeeds, Kirsty Coventry could well redefine the IOC presidency — transforming it from a seat of authority into a platform for unity, wellness, and global understanding. In doing so, she may also remind us why sport remains humanity’s most universal language.

بین الاقوامی اولمپک کمیٹی (IOC) آج اس مقام پر کھڑی ہے جہاں کھیل، سیاست، صحت، اور عالمی سفارت کاری ایک دوسرے سے گہری طرح جُڑ گئے ہیں۔

اور اس تمام پیچیدہ منظرنامے کے مرکز میں موجود ہیں نئی صدر کرسٹی کووینٹری — جو کبھی اولمپک چیمپئن تھیں اور اب عالمی کھیلوں کی قیادت کے سب سے مشکل امتحان سے گزر رہی ہیں۔

چند ہی دن بعد، اقوامِ متحدہ کے اجلاس کے موقع پر ان کی ملاقات اٹلی کی وزیراعظم جورجیا میلونی سے ہوئی۔

دونوں خواتین رہنماؤں کے درمیان خوشگوار گفتگو کی تصاویر نے تمام افواہوں کو خاموش کر دیا اور واضح کیا کہ کھیلوں کی عالمی قیادت اب جذباتی سمجھ بوجھ اور تحمل پر بھی مبنی ہے۔

کووینٹری کا انداز ایک نئی قسم کی اولمپک سفارت کاری کی نمائندگی کرتا ہے — جس میں شور شرابے کے بجائے بات چیت، احترام اور تسلسل کو ترجیح دی جاتی ہے۔

Sports in Pakistan are once again at the mercy of ego, politics, and power struggles. The two key institutions — Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) and the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) — are locked in a long-running tug-of-war that has crippled the nation’s sporting structure.

Instead of working toward development, both organizations are obsessed with influence and control, promoting their own people rather than those selected on merit or in accordance with sporting laws. What was once a matter of policy has now turned into a matter of personal power.

For over a decade, the creation of parallel federations has divided not just institutions but also officials, coaches, and athletes, weakening the very foundation of Pakistan’s sports. The POA continues to ignore government directives, while the PSB, despite being the official authority, has failed to enforce its policies or assert its writ.

The Poison of Parallel Federations

Whenever elections are held under the supervision of the Sports Board, the Olympic Association retaliates by supporting the formation of a parallel federation filled with its favored individuals.

This internal battle has now reached the field level — directly affecting coaches and athletes.

In athletics, for example, the only real medal hope for the upcoming Islamic Games, javelin thrower Yasser Sultan, has seen his coach Fayyaz Bukhari excluded from the official contingent, reportedly replaced by a less deserving coach favored by the POA.

In weightlifting, the interim committee formed by PSB has had its recommendations completely rejected by POA.

New Front in Bahrain

The upcoming Asian Youth Games in Bahrain have opened another chapter of conflict.

The POA allegedly included its chosen individuals in the contingent without government approval (NOC), prompting PSB to issue warnings that such individuals cannot officially represent Pakistan.

Shockingly, the coaches who actually trained the athletes have been sidelined — once again proving that politics, not performance, dictates participation.

Power Over Performance

The rot runs deep. Within PSB, several officials appear more interested in securing foreign tours and perks through the POA rather than fulfilling their own responsibilities. Meanwhile, in the POA, certain entrenched figures have maintained their positions for decades, manipulating every new president to serve their agenda.

This dangerous cycle of influence and opportunism continues to suffocate merit, discipline, and professionalism in Pakistan’s sporting ecosystem.

If this tug-of-war continues, the development of sports in Pakistan will remain a distant dream.

Athletes and coaches — the true heartbeat of any sport — will keep getting crushed between institutional politics, ultimately losing motivation and leaving the field altogether.

It is high time both institutions remember the Olympic principle: “Stronger Together.”

The conflict that began in 2012 between the POA and PSB must finally be resolved, and the parallel federation culture permanently buried.

A new national sports policy must align with international Olympic values and prioritize the welfare of athletes above all else.

If Pakistan truly wants progress in sports, it must end this destructive politics of ego and favoritism.

Athletes are not pawns — they are the pride of the nation. It is time to treat them that way.

پاکستان میں کھیلوں کا نظام اس وقت دو بڑی طاقتوں، پاکستان اسپورٹس بورڈ (PSB) اور پاکستان اولمپک ایسوسی ایشن (POA) کے درمیان جاری سرد جنگ کی نذر ہو چکا ہے۔ کھیلوں کی ترقی کے بجائے یہ ادارے اپنی اپنی "طاقت" اور "پسند" کے لوگوں کو نوازنے میں مصروف ہیں، جس کے نتیجے میں کھیلوں کا پورا ڈھانچہ زوال کا شکار ہے۔

کبھی اولمپک ایسوسی ایشن اپنی مرضی کے نمائندے چاہتی ہے، تو کبھی اسپورٹس بورڈ اپنی پسند کے افراد کو آگے لانے کے لیے سرگرداں رہتا ہے۔ نتیجتاً میرٹ، شفافیت اور قانون پسندی کی بجائے مفادات، اقرباپروری اور تقسیم کا راج ہے۔

گزشتہ دو دہائیوں میں متوازی فیڈریشنز نے نہ صرف کھلاڑیوں اور کوچز کو تقسیم کیا بلکہ کھیلوں کے اداروں کے درمیان ایسی خلیج پیدا کر دی ہے جو اب خطرناک حد تک بڑھ چکی ہے۔ حیرت انگیز طور پر، پاکستان اولمپک ایسوسی ایشن اکثر حکومتی احکامات کو نظرانداز کرتی ہے، جبکہ دوسری طرف پاکستان اسپورٹس بورڈ اپنی رِٹ قائم کرنے میں بری طرح ناکام دکھائی دیتا ہے۔

متوازی فیڈریشنز کا زہر:

اگر کسی فیڈریشن کے انتخابات PSB کی نگرانی میں ہوں تو POA فوری طور پر اپنے پسندیدہ افراد کے حق میں متوازی فیڈریشن تشکیل دے دیتی ہے۔ یہی کھیل اب کوچز اور کھلاڑیوں تک پہنچ چکا ہے۔ حالیہ مثالوں میں ایتھلیٹکس اور ویٹ لفٹنگ کے تنازعات سب کے سامنے ہیں۔

ایتھلیٹکس میں یاسر سلطان جیسے میڈل کے مضبوط امیدوار کے کوچ فیاض بخاری کو اسلامی گیمز کے دستے سے باہر کرنے کی سازش ہو رہی ہے، جب کہ ان کی جگہ پر ایسے کوچز کو شامل کیا جا رہا ہے جنہوں نے میدان میں کوئی کردار نہیں نبھایا۔ دوسری طرف ویٹ لفٹنگ میں PSB کی انٹیرم کمیٹی کی سفارشات کو POA نے مکمل طور پر مسترد کر دیا ہے۔

بحرین یوتھ گیمز میں نیا محاذ

ایشیائی یوتھ گیمز میں POA نے اپنے من پسند افراد کو بغیر حکومتی اجازت کے بحرین جانے والے دستے میں شامل کیا، جس پر PSB نے اعتراض اٹھایا۔ دلچسپ امر یہ ہے کہ جن کوچز نے کھلاڑیوں کو ٹریننگ دی، انہیں دستے سے باہر رکھا گیا۔ یوں لگتا ہے جیسے کھیل نہیں، بلکہ سیاسی چالیں کھیلی جا رہی ہیں۔

اقتدار کی جنگ، کھیل کا نقصان

PSB میں بیٹھے بعض افسران اپنی سرکاری ذمہ داریوں کے بجائے POA سے بیرون ملک ٹورز کی بھیک مانگتے پھرتے ہیں۔ دوسری طرف POA میں موجود پرانے کھلاڑی اور افسران کئی دہائیوں سے اپنی گرفت برقرار رکھے ہوئے ہیں۔

یہ وہی چالاک عناصر ہیں جنہوں نے نئے صدر کو بھی اپنے اثر و رسوخ میں لے رکھا ہے۔

اگر یہی کشمکش جاری رہی تو پاکستان میں کھیلوں کی ترقی ایک خواب بن کر رہ جائے گی۔ کھلاڑی اور کوچز اس دوطرفہ لڑائی میں پس کر رہ جائیں گے، نتیجتاً ملک میں کھیلوں کا نظام مکمل طور پر مفلوج ہو جائے گا۔

ضرورت اس امر کی ہے کہ دونوں ادارے اولمپک چارٹر کے بنیادی اصول "Stronger Together" کو سمجھیں اور اسے اپنی پالیسیوں کا حصہ بنائیں۔

سب سے پہلے 2012 سے جاری اس طاقت کی جنگ کو ختم کر کے متوازی فیڈریشنز کے نظام کو ہمیشہ کے لیے دفن کرنا ہو گا۔

پاکستان کی اسپورٹس پالیسی کو بین الاقوامی اصولوں کے مطابق تشکیل دینا اور تمام فریقین کو کھلاڑی کی فلاح و بہبود کو اولین ترجیح دینا ہو گا۔

اگر پاکستان میں کھیلوں کی حقیقی ترقی چاہیے تو اداروں کی انا، مفادات اور اثر و رسوخ کی سیاست کو ختم کرنا ہو گا۔

کھلاڑی ہمارا فخر ہیں — نہ کہ کسی کی جاگیر۔

The sports landscape in Pakistan has always been a complex blend of passion, politics, and perseverance. Yet, the recent developments in basketball have raised serious concerns about the direction in which this beloved sport is heading.

Despite clear instructions from the Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBF), several players chose to participate in unauthorized leagues, defying the governing body’s regulations. While such actions may seem minor to some, their consequences could be far-reaching — affecting not only the players involved but also the very foundation of basketball in Pakistan.

It is undeniable that some of the federation’s policies appear harsh, but discipline remains the backbone of any sporting system. Without it, no sport, no institution, and no dream can truly prosper.

One troubling case involved a young player who was barred from participating in the Under-16 trials simply because he had previously taken part in one of these unrecognized leagues. This heartbreaking example shows how the stubbornness and recklessness of a few can shatter the hopes of many emerging athletes.

The federation must strike a balance — enforcing rules while ensuring that deserving youth are not deprived of opportunities. On the other hand, players must realize that their irresponsible decisions can damage not just their own careers but the image and integrity of the entire sport.

Pakistan needs a sporting environment where governance, discipline, and passion coexist — where the federation, players, and fans work together to promote basketball rather than divide it. Because sport is not merely about competition; it’s about building character, unity, and national pride.

🏀 پاکستان میں غیر قانونی باسکٹ بال لیگیں — کھیل یا قمار؟

پاکستان میں کھیلوں کا منظر ہمیشہ سے جذبے، سیاست اور جدوجہد کا امتزاج رہا ہے، مگر حالیہ دنوں میں باسکٹ بال کے میدان میں پیش آنے والی چند صورتحال نے اس کھیل کے مستقبل کے بارے میں سنگین سوالات کھڑے کر دیے ہیں۔

پاکستان باسکٹ بال فیڈریشن (PBF) کی واضح ہدایات کے باوجود کئی کھلاڑیوں نے غیر تسلیم شدہ لیگوں میں شرکت کی، جو کہ فیڈریشن کے قوانین کی کھلی خلاف ورزی ہے۔ بظاہر یہ معمولی معاملہ لگ سکتا ہے، مگر اس کے اثرات نہ صرف متعلقہ کھلاڑیوں بلکہ پاکستان میں باسکٹ بال کے پورے ڈھانچے پر پڑ سکتے ہیں۔

یہ تسلیم کرنا ہوگا کہ فیڈریشن کی کچھ پالیسیاں سخت محسوس ہو سکتی ہیں، مگر نظم و ضبط ہر کھیل اور ادارے کی ریڑھ کی ہڈی ہوتا ہے۔ نظم و ضبط کے بغیر نہ کوئی کھیل آگے بڑھ سکتا ہے، نہ کوئی ادارہ مضبوط ہو سکتا ہے، اور نہ ہی کوئی خواب حقیقت بن سکتا ہے۔

ایک افسوسناک مثال میں ایک نوجوان کھلاڑی کو انڈر 16 ٹرائلز میں شرکت سے روک دیا گیا صرف اس وجہ سے کہ وہ ایک غیر قانونی لیگ میں کھیل چکا تھا۔ یہ واقعہ ظاہر کرتا ہے کہ چند ضدی اور خودسَر کھلاڑیوں کی وجہ سے کئی ابھرتے ہوئے ٹیلنٹ کی راہیں مسدود ہو سکتی ہیں۔

ضرورت اس بات کی ہے کہ فیڈریشن قوانین کے نفاذ کے ساتھ ساتھ ایسے اقدامات بھی کرے جن سے نوجوانوں کے لیے مواقع بند نہ ہوں۔ دوسری جانب کھلاڑیوں کو بھی سمجھنا ہوگا کہ ان کے غیر ذمہ دارانہ فیصلے نہ صرف ان کے کیریئر بلکہ پورے کھیل کی ساکھ کو نقصان پہنچا سکتے ہیں۔

پاکستان کو ایسے اسپورٹس ماحول کی ضرورت ہے جہاں انتظام، نظم و ضبط اور جذبہ ایک ساتھ چلیں — جہاں فیڈریشن، کھلاڑی اور شائقین مل کر کھیل کو آگے بڑھائیں نہ کہ تقسیم کریں۔ کیونکہ کھیل صرف مقابلہ نہیں، بلکہ کردار سازی، اتحاد، اور قومی وقار کا مظہر ہوتا ہے۔
